The Heicheng Ruins Tourism District
Located in Ejina Banner of Alxa League as an important
constitutive part of the Juyan culture covering a total area of 180,000 square meters, the district is the most complete and still existing ancient city ruins left over from Xixia State (1038-1227). It was then an important agriculture and livestock husbandry base and frontier stronghold of Xixia as well as an important relay station in the Hexi Corridor in the Yuan dynasty. With large amount of unearthed cultural relics, it is a famous scenic tourism spot.
